HOW TO CHOOSE FANTASTIC SUMMER DRIVING SHOES

Whether you’re planning to hit the road on a driving holiday, driving shoes mens , take day-trips to the coast or even just pop down to the local garden centre in your car, make sure you’ve got some great driving shoes this summer.

Here are our top five tips to help you find the perfect pair.

1. PICK THE RIGHT SHOE STYLE

Safety is the most important issue to bear in mind when selecting a driving shoe - and some shoes just aren’t practical. Wearing high heels makes it difficult to use the pedals correctly, while flip-flops can slip off your foot. Boots can be too heavy and get caught under the pedals – and they’re the last things you want on your feet in the summer.

Opt for lightweight shoes which allow your ankle plenty of flexibility, so you can operate the pedals properly. Driving moccasins, such as our Fowler and Tropez driving shoes, are a popular option.

2. TAKE COMFORT INTO CONSIDERATION

Comfortable shoes are essential when you’re behind the wheel, particularly if you’re heading off on a long journey. If you aren’t relaxed, you won’t be properly focused on the road and driving will quickly become a chore. In summer, you also want driving shoes that won’t get too sweaty, especially if you prefer going sockless, so your feet won’t slip around in them and will feel fresh.

Our Fowler driving moccasins for men have an ultra-comfortable padded insock and they’re unlined to make going sockless a delight, while our women’s Tropez driving moccasins boast a high-quality leather lining and a full-length, foam-padded, leather in-sock.

3. FIND SHOES WITH SUITABLE SOLES

When you’re choosing driving shoes, select styles with thin soles.  If the soles are too chunky, you won’t be able to feel the pedals properly and this will make it harder for you to operate them correctly. You also need shoes that give you plenty of grip, so your foot won’t slip off the pedals as you drive.

Both our Men’s Fowler Driving Moccasins and our Women’s Tropez Driving Moccasins have slim, studded soles to give you the grip and pedal control you need.

4. SELECT SHOES THAT FIT PERFECTLY

If your shoes are too loose, they may move about or slip off your foot, causing you to make errors while driving. Shoes that are too tight, on the other hand, will be uncomfortable, distracting you from what you’re doing.

Our Men’s Fowler Driving Moccasins are available in a range of sizes, from 6 right up to 15, and we stock our Women’s Tropez Driving Moccasins in sizes 3 to 8, so you should be able to find a driving shoe that’s the perfect fit when you shop with Chatham.

5. GET SHOES THAT LOOK GOOD IN AND OUT OF THE CAR

Make sure you choose driving shoes with a touch of style. You never know when you’ll need to stop off at the garage, pop into a shop or give someone a lift! You can get driving shoes in a wide range of colours, styles and materials, so you can opt for a classic look or go wild with footwear with some contemporary flair.

This season, we’ve added attention-grabbing snake pink, snake taupe and snake aqua shoes to our Women’s Tropez Leather Driving Moccasins range, which already includes sleek black and warm brown versions. We’ve also launched these stylish moccasins in mango and taupe suede.

Our Men’s Fowler Driving Moccasins come in leather or suede too. The leather version is available in brown, navy or black, while the suede version comes in navy/orange and taupe/blue.

How to Test Ceramic Disc Capacitor

Ceramic disc capacitors are units used to manage voltage for various dielectric functions in the computer industry. high voltage ceramic capacitor ,  The role of ceramic layers is to dissipate heat which may occur due to high voltage, while protecting the environment — both internal and external — from damage. With these capacitors, volumetric efficiency is inversely proportional to stability and accuracy, thus making the testing process difficult.

Step 1 Testing ceramic capacitors is important, because, when exposed to high voltage, the capacitors may short out. If this occurs, your monitor may blink or be absent. You can solve this problem by replacing the ceramic capacitors all together. However, if you have the proper equipment you can test the ceramic capacitors.
Step 2 Use a digital multimeter to test a ceramic capacitor. If the voltage is constant, the capacitor functions properly. However, you cannot measure it properly if the ohmmeter's output and digital capacitance don…

How Should Shoes Actually Fit?

The Wall Street Journal’s senior style reporter Elizabeth Holmes Opens a New Window.  recently started her column Opens a New Window. New Dior Homme Collection  by asking a simple question: “When was the last time you had your foot measured to check your shoe size?” I promptly answered in my head and also possibly aloud, “Well, when my foot last stopped growing. Why would I need to do it again? I’m a grown adult human who pays the majority of my bills on time. I think I know how to buy and wear shoes.”

Apparently not. Holmes’s article goes on to explain how our feet have grown an average of two sizes since the 1970s in order to support us as the species grows taller, which is changing how shoes are designed, made, and sold by older, established brands. She also cites a recent U.K. study of more than 2,000 similarly grown adults, which proves that while sitcoms and stereotypes suggest it’s women who choose style over comfort, about a third of men are also wearing shoes that don’t prop…
